In 2008, Music PEI began to offer multiple funding programs to members of the Island music industry. These programs were created with funding from the Provincial Government’s Department of Culture in an effort to assist the growing industry in key areas that would help to develop both the artists and the infrastructure in the province. To date Music PEI has awarded over $550,000, funding over 160 projects by members of the Island music industry. In the five years since the inception of the Music PEI programs there has been a substantial amount of notable growth and achievements within the industry.
Each of these programs is designed to assist artists and industry members at various stages of their careers, with the final goal of creating long term self-sustaining careers. Please read the guidelines carefully to see where you fit and qualify.
The next funding deadline is October 30, 2013 at 5:00 pm. Kate Gracey-Stewart, Program Officer, will be available by appointment to meet and educate members of Music PEI who wish to access the funding program. Please contact Kate at kate@musicpei.com or 894-6734 to set up an appointment.
