He was a member of the Queens County Fiddlers and performed shows at the Rollo Bay Fiddle Festival. From there he continued his musical journey and explored the acoustic guitar where he became the lead singer to various bands including, Getaway, All Rights Reserved, and Slip 76 performing at venues from the waterfront in Montaque to local clubs in Charlottetown. Soon after Wayne moved onto the bass guitar where he joined and shared the stage with the Johnny Oliver Band playing bass guitar and singing harmony on a high energy stage at some local venues which include, The Country Jubilee at the Harbourfront Theatre, and The Credit Union Place in Summerside. Soon after and now ongoing Wayne has joined the band Route 21, where he sings harmony and thrives on the energetic beat of the drums.
