Based in Charlottetown, Bryson has been singing and playing acoustic guitar for many years. He is a talented entertainer, and is well versed in the folk music genre. He has been influenced by Leonard Cohen, Gordon Lightfoot, Dan Fogelberg, Lucinda Williams, Jack Johnston, and many top east coast music artists.
He released his first EP in 2008, which was produced by Jon Matthews at Big Grey Sound Studio in Charlottetown.
The EP features guest artists Chris Corrigan, Lisle Clarke (bass), Gail Mullen (vocals), Doug Bridges (drums) and Fraser Cameron (electric guitar). Bryson has also played with Island favorites Jon Rehder and Reg Ballagh.
You can hear Bryson play at the Dundee Arms on Friday evenings (check the Buzz for details). He also plays at the Haviland Club, house parties, and other gigs in the Atlantic provinces. He recently played at Funk the Dunk in Breadalbane, and at Summer Solstice at the Dunk (with Ashley Condon and Chasitity.
