Founded in 2005, The Plain Dirty Blues Band have been featured at the PEI Jazz and Blues festival, the East Coast Music Awards, Music PEI awards showcase, and the Red Island Blues Festival.
The band's debut album "Five Dollar Cover" (released January 2010) was nominated for the 2011 Music PEI Blues Recording of the Year and received critical acclaim in the East Coast Blues Society's newsletter. Their second album is already in the works...
Best known for their electrically charged live performances, their music is a mix of original and interpretive works influenced by the likes of Buddy Guy, Freddie King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Hendrix to name a few.
