Music PEI Announces Locations and Artists - Sing with Heart Fundraiser for The Heart and Stroke Foundation & Music PEI

August 12, 2013 | The Heart and Stroke Foundation is committed to helping improve the health of Islanders and all Canadians by providing information and resources to help them reduce their risk for heart disease and stroke.

Music PEI is pleased to be partnering with Heart and Stroke Foundation to bring you Sing with Heart which will take place tomorrow in downtown Charlottetown from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, August 13th, 2013.

During these hours, several Island musicians will ‘busk’ at select venues to raise awareness and money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation and for Music PEI.

We are pleased to announce that the Sing with Heart schedule has been finalized. The following artists and locations are as follows:

Confederation Court Mall

Many of the artists who will be performing tomorrow will be selling their CDs and donating a portion of the sales to the Sing with Heart initiative. Proceeds from the CD sales and any donations received will be shared equally between Music PEI and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

The Heart and Stroke Foundation’s mission is to prevent disease, save lives and promote recovery. A volunteer-based health charity, we strive to improve the health of every Canadian family, every day. ‘Healthy lives free of heart disease and stroke. Together we will make it happen’.

Music PEI is the music industry association for the province and is devoted to assisting Island artists to develop sustainable careers in the music business Music PEI programs and activities are made possible through the ongoing support of the provincial departments of Tourism and Culture and Innovation and Advanced Learning as well as ACOA, Canadian Heritage, the City of Charlottetown and FACTOR.
