Lineup & Nominees Announced
Music PEI & Newcap Announce the Nominees and Performers for the 6th Annual PEI Music Awards Show.
Newcap Radio though Ocean 100 and K-Rock 105.5 is thrilled to be a partner in the 2006 PEI Music Awards event, says General Manager, Jennifer Evans. ?Supporting local artists and the local music industry is a very important part of our local programming here in Prince Edward Island. We are delighted to lend our support to this annual showcase of the PEI music industry.?
The Friday, November 10th, show at Confederation Centre will feature artists such as nominees, Courtney Hogan, Nathan Condon, Eric Broadbent, Neil Matthews, Ian Toms, Fugato and Catherine MacLellan.
The 2006 version of the PEI Music Awards show will also feature the reunion of Haywire, one of PEI?s premium rock acts of the 1980s and 90s.
Music PEI?s, Rob Oakie says, ?Bringing back David Rashed, Ronnie Switzer, Marvin Burt, Paul MacAusland and Sean Kilbride is a big thrill for us. I can?t wait for them to rock centre stage at Confederation Centre.?
Oakie also feels the supporting cast is as strong as he has ever seen it.

The awards will be given out at the November 10th night of PEI music.
