2007 Annual General Meeting
Dear Music PEI current and past members,
We are pleased to announce that we will have our 2007 Annual General Meeting Tuesday, July 3 6:30 pm. We will meet on the second floor at Sobers Music, Charlottetown on the Trans Canada Highway. This year will be a very exciting and historic one for the music industry on PEI and we want to share our vision of the future with you. We are currently waiting to get confirmation from the new Liberal government regarding the funding commitment and we plan to make a formal announcement during the AGM regarding funding and programs.
We will also review the past year financials and events and we hope to elect 4 new Directors to the Board. If you are interested in submitting your name as a Director, please forward your CV to Music PEI [email protected]
We would appreciate if you have a mailing list, please forward this announcement, or if you know anyone who is connected to the music industry, we encourage them to join us. We have a lot of work ahead of us to establish a fully functioning Industry Association and we need everyone?s input. In order to acquire long term support and funding from the government we will need to prove that we represent a large segment of the industry. We encourage individuals, bands, studios, organisations, venues, businesses, anyone who has a stake in the music industry to join us. We need to hear your voice. Membership forms will be available at the meeting.
