Music PEI Announces 2010/2011 Board of Directors
Music PEI announced its 2010-2011 Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting in Charlottetown, PE on May 12th, 2010.
“We have brought together a talented and passionate group of people from across the province to represent our members, “ says Shannon Pratt, President of Music PEI. “This group will continue to work hard toward the mandate of promoting and fostering the artists and music industry on the Island.”

Elections took place in advance of the AGM by the membership of Music PEI from April 13th to 23rd, with 12 members of Music PEI putting their name forward for consideration for the 4 available spots.
Music PEI would also like to thank departing Directors Andrew Melzer, Dennis Boudreau Lloyd Doyle, Paul Milner, and Ray Brow. Special thanks to Lloyd Doyle who has been involved with Music PEI for the past number of years and was an integral part in developing the funding and grants programs that has assisted so many in the music industry here on PEI.
The Music PEI Awards Week and Conference dates for January 2011 will be announced in the coming weeks.
The Music PEI Awards Week and Conference is an annual event organized by Music PEI as a critical part of its mission statement. Music PEI is a non-profit member services organization devoted to advancing careers of Island musicians. Music PEI is actively seeking ways to promote, foster and develop artists and the music industry on PEI. The Association acts as an advocate for the Island music industry and a representative at the national table. Music PEI currently has a diverse membership of over 300 that includes musicians, songwriters, music industry professionals and music lovers.
