MIAFest at ECMA
Music PEI will present 7 artists during the East Coast Music Awards 2011 in Charlottetown April 14th, 15th & 16th on a shared Music Industry Association (MIA) stage. MIAFest is a partnership between the ECMAs and the MIAs of the four Atlantic Provinces (Music New Brunswick, Music Nova Scotia, Music PEI, and Music Newfoundland & Labrador). MIAFest will host three evenings of incredible showcases during the East Coast Music Awards in Charlottetown featuring a great selection of some of the best acts from each provincial MIA.
There will be a limited number of additional showcase slots available in the Selkirk Dining Room at the Delta Hotel.
Your participation also offers inclusion into all Music PEI marketing material, gig guides, posters, Drop Cards and other promotional materials. You will also be eligible to take advantage of free rehearsal times, showcase preparation workshops and funding for live performance coaching.
Because of the export nature of this initiative, only artists that meet all of the following criteria will be considered for this showcase series:
1. Music PEI membership must be current.
2. Your member profile at www.musicpei.com must be updated and complete.
If you do not have an updated member profile you will not meet eligibility criteria. If you need assistance contact the office at [email protected]. If you have not completed the profile your information will not show up on the Music PEI website, only your name. This will ensure that you are listed in the directory.
3. You are a resident of Prince Edward Island
You are considered a resident of PEI if you meet both of the following criteria:
• Primary artist and/or the majority of the group is a resident of PEI
• Primary artist and/or the majority of the group pay income tax to the Province of PEI
4. You are an export ready artist/group
You are considered an export ready artist/group if you meet all of the following criteria:
• You have a Business/Marketing plan
• You have a recording commercially released within the past 24 months
• You have upcoming bookings and strong performance history
• Team Infrastructure in place
