Music PEI to announce 2013 Awards Nominations
The nominees for the 12th Annual Music PEI Awards will be announced at the nomination party presented by HGS on Friday, December 14th at The Guild in Charlottetown at 8:00pm. Media sponsor for the event is The Guardian. The evening will include a rundown of the nominees in all award categories including music industry awards. There will be food, refreshments, music videos by Island artists and a 50/50 draw. Admission is free and everyone is welcome. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
Some awards will be handed out at various events throughout Metro Credit Union Music PEI Week 2013, capping off the week with the 12th Annual Music PEI Awards Gala presented by Ticketpro at the Confederation Centre of the Arts on February 2nd.
Grant Lawrence, Canadian radio personality and leading voice on the Canadian independent music scene, is excited and honoured to host this year’s gala.
“Of all the provinces, Prince Edward Island consistently amazes me year in, year out, for the sheer quality and quantity of music created from this beautiful place,” he said. “I follow the Prince Edward Island music scene very closely from afar, so I consider it a blessing to be able to immerse myself in it in person once again during (the event).”
Tickets for the gala are now on sale at the Confederation Centre’s box office.
