Calling All Country Music Artists! FanFest Submission Process NOW OPEN!

Music PEI, and the other provincial music industry associations, are partnering with The Canadian Country Music Association® (CCMA) to select one artist/act to take to the stage at Jiffy Lube FanFest during this year’s Country Music Week® in Edmonton, Alberta.

How it works:
Music PEI, and the othe provincial music associations, have been asked to select one Country Music Artist/Act to represent that province in the “2013 Jiffy Lube FanFest Performance Contest”

When all ten provincial Acts from across Canada are chosen for the National Contest, these Acts would be highlighted on a Facebook poll on the CCMA Facebook page and the public would be encouraged to vote on who they want to see perform at the FanFest this year.

These ten Acts must abide by the “2013 Jiffy Lube FanFest Performance CCMA Contest OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS”. This National Contest will open on July 29, 2013 and close on August 5, 2013. The winner will be announced on August 9, 2013.

Avid country music fans will be delighted by the stellar line up boasted at the Jiffy Lube FanFest, a free festival held in honour of our biggest and brightest country music stars and the fans that hoisted them to the top. Come for the music and stay for the party, FanFest itself has something for every level of fan from the die-hard album-wielding devotees to the entry-level music lovers who are looking for something new. Fifteen selected Acts plus the winner of the 2013 Jiffy Lube FanFest Performance Contest will each perform two to three acoustic songs. With merchandise stands, numerous autograph and photo opportunities, and plenty of vendors and activities, this is a must attend event for even the most reserved of country music fans. The CCMA is proud to have Jiffy Lube as the presenting sponsor of the 2013 FanFest on Saturday September 7 at Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta.

What the National Contest winner receives:
There is only one (1) prize awarded, which goes to the Winner. The prize consists of:

A performance spot at Jiffy Lube FanFest Edmonton, Alberta

A free one (1) year CCMA membership

A free one (1) year membership to the association the winner qualified

One (1) complimentary Full Delegate Registration to Country Music Week in Edmonton, AB (non-transferable)

One (1) $450.00 honorarium from Radio Starmaker Fund

One (1) hotel room for three (3) night accommodation (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) at the Courtyard by Marriot in Edmonton

Transportation (economy class) to and from hometown to Edmonton (to a maximum $1,000 Cdn).

Note: In the case that the winner is a duo or band, the CCMA will review the prize package on a case by case basis.
