Jordan Cameron: Just One Song Can Make A Difference
Beginning July 1, Jordan Cameron, a singer/songwriter from Charlottetown, P.E.I., is launching a fundraising campaign called “Just One Song.”
From July 1, 2013, until July 1, 2014, all earnings from the iTunes sales of Cameron’s song “Your History” will be going to the Canadian Red Cross to assist those affected by the recent Alberta floods.
“Your History,” featuring noted Island musician Catherine MacLellan, is the title track of Cameron’s latest album, which was released the same week the floods began in Alberta.
“Just One Song,” will be centred on a YouTube video explaining the situation and the goal of the campaign. Cameron’s intent is to use social media and word of mouth to promote the campaign but any coverage of this project your organization could offer would also be appreciated.
“I always feel in these situations that I have nothing to give. But I do have a song, and that made me wonder what just one song can do,”said Cameron.

Jordan Cameron is a relative newcomer to the music scene on Prince Edward Island but has quickly made a name for himself.
He has been performing across the Island and Atlantic Canada since the release of his debut EP “Drawing From Observation” in 2009.
He has been nominated for three Music P.E.I Awards and was a 2012 East Coast Music Award Nominee for Folk Album Of The Year for his full album “My, What A Lovely Hate”.
Cameron lives and works in Charlottetown where he continues to write, perform and record.
