Employment Opportunity – Showcase PEI 2018 Assistant Event Coordinator

Music PEI is currently recruiting for an Assistant Event Coordinator for the 10th Annual Showcase PEI. This position is a Work Experience PEI funded program.

Eligibility includes:
· PEI resident
· Currently unemployed
· Currently receiving EI, or EI eligible or had an open EI claim in the previous 36 months

Showcase PEI brings in buyers/delegates from around the world for a 3-day showcase event presenting PEI’s top artists. This is a highly-regarded music industry conference with an international reputation. The Assistant Event Coordinator will be involved in all aspects of Showcase PEI including recruiting delegates, coordinating delegate travel, hotels and meals as well as coordinating showcases with artists, venues and production teams. This is a business development conference designed to create export and domestic performance opportunities.

An ideal candidate will have some post-secondary education and a connection to the music industry. This experience would help enhance knowledge of the music industry and create excellent connections and network opportunities in the music industry.

Music PEI is the non-profit music industry association for the province with a mandate to assist artists and industry professionals to develop careers in the music industry.
