Electronic Music Workshop – Ableton Sessions

Music PEI will be hosting The Ableton Sessions, a guided tour of the process of creating new collaborative tracks in Ableton Live. The workshop will be facilitated by Devon Ross (AKA TenType) and Russell Louder, join them on February 27th at the SoPA Garage, 140 Weymouth St, Charlottetown; Workshop starts at 7:00 PM.

This is your chance to learn about this software from mentors who will share their song creation processes as well as some general knowledge to help participants craft their own workflows. The workshop will cover topics on:

Manually entering and editing drum patterns
Editing and arranging samples and pre-recorded loops
Live vocal recording
Effects
Mixing and export for mastering

Devon Ross is a sound engineer with The Shed Sessions team in Charlottetown. Devon has worked with a wide range of genres, musical style and performers.

Russell Louder is a musician, producer & performance artist based in Charlottetown. Their experimental electronic dance-cry pop explores the ever-evolving internal landscape of identity, grief and romance.

The masterclass is FREE for Music PEI members and students of the Holland College School of Performing Arts. $10 at the door for non-members. Please register in advance by visiting HERE so we have some idea of the numbers.
