Music PEI Announces New Music Supervisor Mentorship Program
Music Supervision Mentorship Program (MSMP)
Music PEI is very proud to announce the new Music Supervision Mentorship Program (MSMP), a deep dive into learning how to become a Music Supervisor.
Music Supervision is an exciting job within the music industry. Music Supervisors are responsible for placing music in film, TV, commercials, video games and other special projects. It is a creative job with a strong administrative component. “I’ve been wanting to start a program like this for a while and we are so fortunate to be working with one of Canada’s most respected music supervisors, Michael Perlmutter and his team” said Rob Oakie, Executive Director of Music PEI.
The MSMP will cover all facets of the music supervision job, running the gamut from creative
to the business side and everything in between. Music PEI has partnered with instinct entertainment, a leading Canadian music supervision company, to deliver the program.
One-to-one mentorship with instinct owner Michael Perlmutter and staff will include exercises and take away work to help fine-tune your new-found skills.
Each week, real-world examples are discussed, detailing intricacies and requirements involved in the music supervision process. This 8-week comprehensive class will leave you with the foundation and skills needed to move into the music supervision world.
The program is set to begin September 21st.
Applicants can find the submission form at https://podio.com/webforms/25039420/1841068.
Submission deadline is September 11th. You must be a full-time resident of PEI to be eligible. For details of the program go to the Music PEI Program Page.
