Music PEI Week kicks off tomorrow – guarantee a seat before events sell out!
With 2025’s Music PEI Week fast approaching, starting Tuesday, March 4th and running until Saturday, March 8th , so are the last opportunities to guarantee admission to this year’s stellar musician showcases, featuring some of the best musicians PEI has to offer!
While tickets will be sold at the door at each venue, anyone looking forward to the performances won’t want to miss the chance to pick up advance tickets before they sell out, which are on sale now at Music PEI’s website and Locarius, PEI’s locally owned ticketing platform.
Kicking off the five-day celebration of Island talent, take a trip to Grooves at the Guild, presented by The Gray Group. Starting at 7:30 p.m., the show will feature a curated blend of genres, including upcoming talent Lefunk, Bettii, Gizmo and Pearly Gates, and Island Icon Richard Wood.
The next day, Music PEI is doubling down on performances with two concurrent shows in both Charlottetown and Summerside. Out Loud Sessions, presented by Pride PEI, will take place in the Guild at 7:30 p.m. and features an outstanding group of performers with Dazey, Carlie Howell, Noah Malcolm, Inn Echo, and Joce Reyome.
Down East Stinger, presented by Ocean 100 and Hot 105.5, was originally going to be hosted at The King’s Playhouse in Georgetown, but has been moved to Copper Bottom Brewing in Summerside, and will take place at 7:30 p.m. as previously advertised. The showcase will feature both contemporary and traditional performers, including Shane Pendergast, Whitney Rose, Dennis Ellsworth, and Aubin Pi La S.C.B.
On Day 3, the Scott MacAulay Performing Arts Centre is hosting the SOCAN Songwriter of the Year Concert, presented by the City of Summerside, at 7:30 p.m.. It will feature all the well-deserving nominees for the award, such as Dylan Menzie, Gizmo, Lawrence Maxwell, Noah Malcolm and Whitney Rose.
On the same day, the Rhythm and Flow-Case, presented by Maritime Electric, will be coming to Craft Beer Corner. With DJ Alley Cat behind the turntable, the event will feature PEI’s top rap and hip-hop musicians DEMIXX, Norm Strangely, Rightflow, BraedenV, and Cavy.
On March 7th, MusicPEI will focus on opening up shows to everyone, breaking down age-restrictions with All Ages Amplified, presented by PEI Mutual. The show, which will take place at the Beaconsfield Carriage House at 6 p.m. features a wide variety of rock genres with performances by 20 Eyes, Oakdrive, Space Bud, Heather, and Absolute Losers.
Later that night comes a MusicPEI staple: Music Mosaic. Presented by Cavendish Farms, the show will be hosted by Trailside Music Hall at 8 p.m. Typically Music PEI Week’s top-selling show, audiences will want to grab tickets as soon as they can. The show will feature performances by Todd MacLean, Luisa Güiza, Tiffany Liu, Hikado, and Vishtèn Connexions.
To close the week off, the final day starts with the Award Gala Red Carpet, presented by Rodd Hotels & Resorts at the Confederation Centre of the Arts. This is where we celebrate all the nominees and special guests who make Music PEI Week possible leading up to the 24th Annual Music PEI Awards Gala in the Sobey Family Theatre, presented by the Atlantic Lottery Corporation, which will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The Awards night is open to the public, not just those in the industry, and tickets can be purchased online on Music PEI’s website, as well as at the Confederation Centre’s box office.
The Gala will be hosted by Matt Rainie, and will celebrate the many impressive achievements of Island artists and industry professionals, and to up the thrill, some of the top nominee’s perform, including Vishtèn Connexions, Dylan Menzie, Hikado, and Lawrence Maxwell, with Craig Fair’s outstanding house band.
At all of the performances, there will be a 50/50 ticket sale, with the winner being announced during the intermission at the Award Gala, as well as on social media.
Tickets will cost 5$ for 1, 10$ for 3 and 20$ for 10.
Attendees can also keep an eye out for a few surprises.
But it doesn’t end at concerts, be sure to drop in to the other non-ticketed Music PEI activities!
The Gallery Coffee House & Bistro is hosting an exhibit of The Buzz Album Art Of The Year nominees, which will be displayed from February 24th to March 10th, and is open for anyone who wants to take a look.
On March 6th, Music PEI will host the it’s first Happy Hour Trivia at Evermoore in Summerside, and will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the winners, and will include a gift card, a six pack, 2 gala tickets, and 1 confederation bridge pass.
Keeping up with the all-ages theme of the day, the Beaconsfield Carriage House will host a Dry Happy Hour Mixer, presented by PEI Car Rental, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. where there will be a screening of this year’s Music Video of The Year nominees.
Finally, sponsors, nominees, and special guests are invited to close out the night at the Whitecap Nightcap Official Awards Afterparty, presented by Whitecap Entertainment and will feature Take the Mic, PEI ‘s top karaoke band.
