Canadian Song Conference
Music PEI is proud to partner with ECMA to bring the 2019 Canadian Song Conference (CSC) to ECMA 2019 - May 1st to 5th in Charlottetown, PEI. This year the CSC will focus on creating opportunities for artists and industry professionals in relationship to developing multiple revenue streams from songs. This includes licensing for film, TV, video games, commercials and special projects, publishing, royalties and more.

The CSC has a unique program called the Canadian Songwriter Challenge, which is supported by Bell Media funding. The Music PEI version of the program brings together songwriters from across Canada to collaborate on creating new songs. These songwriters will be given an opportunity to present their new material to the delegates attending the CSC and ECMA in a unique Listening Session during which the artists introduce and present the new songs as recorded demos.

Tickets are now on sale for the Canadian Songsmith Sessions concert featuring this year's Canadian Songwriter Challenge participants, taking place on Wednesday, May 1st at 7:00pm at The Guild.

This opportunity will be open for submissions to any members who have professionally recorded original product that could be used by music supervisors for film, TV, commercials, video games or other visual products. These will include both songwriters and composers. Music PEI will select 12 PEI artists to participate in one day of Listening Sessions.
