Andrew Waite
Andrew Waite is a passionate songwriter, performer and educator who is gaining momentum after his award-winning debut album. His songwriting is honest, rugged, and evocative and whether he is performing solo, or with his full six piece band, he delivers a relentless and dynamic performance.

Burning Through the Night was recorded at the Sound Mill Studio, with Jon Matthews and released in September 2015. The debut album won the 2016 Music PEI Rock Recording of the Year, and has since been nominated for Music PEI's Songwriter of the Year award, and Group Recording of the Year. It was a regional finalist in the 2015 CBC Searchlight competition where it garnered the attention of CBC’s Grant Lawrence, who selected the track as one of his third round stand-outs. “If The Band came from Charlottetown, they might sounds a lot like Andrew Waite & the Firm” stated Lawrence. ‘Someone To Hold Me’ could easily have audiences on a national scale swaying back and forth to this chorus.”

Waite is preparing his sophomore album release for September 2018 and has recently released the first single, “Out & Out”, along with his first official music video. In addition to performing, Andrew owns and operates Island Rock Camps; a successful annual summer music camp for children ages 9 – 15 which is now entering its fifth year.
