Tom Barnes
Tom Barnes is a professional drummer who also plays bass and guitar. Tom was previously in the iconic Queen Street band in Toronto, “The FunGuys”. Tom currently plays in an acoustic duet with Olivia Barnes, singing and harmonizing on a variety of tunes ranging from early jazz to country, gospel, bluegrass, traditional folk, vintage pop and more. They play at churches, ceilidhs, weddings, banquets and other events. Tom works as an Associate Producer/Technician at CBC radio. He also has over 20 years experience as a boom mic operator and recordist for international award-winning tv & film productions. Tom is well-known for designing and installing sound, light and projection systems in addition to repairing pro-audio gear and lights. His love of preservation and restoration projects has led to the operation of a heritage award-winning community museum. This place is home to Tom's 1936 Hammond BC organ with vintage Leslie speaker.
