Canadian underground hip hop recording artist X-Plycit hails from Hamilton Ontario.
When she was in her teens her family relocated to Cape Breton Island where she
became passionate about writing and music. Being the only female in her genre to ever
come out of Cape Breton has provided more opportunities for recognition and she has
used this, not only to excel in her field, but to also allow her to use it as a platform for
causes she holds close to her heart such as mental health awareness. Having
struggled with depression and anxiety herself, X-Plycit has used music as a therapy to overcome her mental health issues and even includes 1 track on every album about her own personal struggles. Currently recording her 3rd album, previous were the Purge & Underrated, X-Plycit has committed to doing a Mental Health awareness show in every province across Canada. So far she has done so in 3 provinces: Nova Scotia, Ontario and Manitoba. Having over 300 live shows under her belt since 2016, as well as 4 festivals(Peace East, Music & Fellowship, Northern Touch Music Festival, & Iron Mic
Music Festival), and guest speaker at different events(Women in Music Circle/Caper Radio Presents Inclusivity in Music), you can expect some big announcements coming in the very near future. Previous, X-Plycit was east coast tour support for Lil Debbie & Raven Felix for the OG In My System Tour, opened for Madchild, Snak the Ripper, Merkules, Ace Hood, Prada
West, Robbie G, Caine TL, Evil Ebenezer, La Coka Nostra and many more. She also
had her own co-Headlining tour of the east coast, the 902 LIT Tour, sponsored by 902
Lit Clothing Co, that covered Nova Scotia, New Brunswick & PEI. Not only known for doing music, X-Plycit spent 3 years on the CBRM Diversity committee, was on the Northside The Lakes Community Health Board, got donations for the St. Joseph church single parent support program, Coached elementary school basketball, and volunteered with MADD Cape Breton. She was also the host of Late Night Underground on 107.3FM Caper Radio. Currently she is a volunteer with Mental Health & Addictions PEI and Placed 4th in the Iron Mic Festival Iron Mic Championships.
