Diane Barnes
Diane Barnes is a writer of songs, scripts and stories and an international award-winning filmmaker. As President of TP Productions Inc. Diane oversees a wide variety of projects including musicals, comedy series, feature films and documentaries.

Two of Diane's tunes are included on Kelley Mooney's new CD, "Tomorrow," which recently won MusicPEI's BEST COUNTRY RECORDING AWARD.

Diane's latest musical in development, STROMBERG, is based on the life of PEI's own John Stromberg, who was recently inducted into the Canadian Songwriter's Hall of Fame. John was a huge presence on Broadway in the 1890s as musical director and composer of many hit songs. He was attached to the renowned vaudeville duo of Weber & Fields and also wrote Lillian Russell's signature song, "Come Down Ma Evening Star."

Barnes' musical, SADIE CALHOUN, was inspired by an actress & songstress from the South who performed at Charlottetown's Opera House in 1907. Funding for key development of this project is administered by the PEI Council of the Arts, on behalf of the Department of Community & Cultural Affairs.

Diane & Tom's epic new song, BALLAD OF JOHNNY O'CONNOR, is now available for listening on website. It is a tribute to the brave young soul who survived the Donnelly massacre in 1880. Produced by TP Productions Inc.
