Call for Submissions: Recording Studios. Music PEI is seeking professional recording studios and engineers to participate in the 2019 Canadian Songwriter Challenge, a part of the 2019 CSC.

Music PEI Is hosting another educational workshop this time focused on creating your own songs in Ableton Live. Learn to create electronic drum patterns, edit and arrange samples and loops, record live vocals, and add effects to come out with a finished product!

Music PEI is proud to partner with ECMA to bring the Canadian Song Conference to East Coast Music Week. The CSC has a unique program called the Canadian Songwriter Challenge which brings together songwriters to collaborate. This year 12 songwriters from across Canada will partner to create new songs and present them to the delegates attending the Canadian Song Conference and ECMA.

Sunday afternoon, January 27th, many of Prince Edward Island’s music community gathered at the Rodd Charlottetown Hotel to learn who would take home the 2019 Music PEI Awards at the Awards Party.

Music PEI kicked off the first of the ticketed shows for 2019 Credit Union Music PEI Week on Thursday night in Charlottetown at the SOCAN Songwriter of the Year Concert at St. Paul’s Church. The first Music PEI Award of the week was handed out during a night that also featured breathtaking performances from SOCAN Songwriter of the Year nominees Dennis Ellsworth, Dylan Menzie, Lennie Gallant, Meaghan Blanchard and Rachel Beck.
